da stake casino: The Athletic’s Southampton correspondent Carl Anka has provided an update on the future of Kevin Danso.
What’s the word, then?
da esport bet: Well, while writing a post in The Athletic’s transfer Q&A on Thursday, Anka revealed that Danso has ‘expressed a wish’ for more playing time in his preferred position of centre-back.
Anka adds that, while no agreement has taken place between the defender and Southampton over terminating his loan, there are a number of clubs interested in signing the 21-year-old from the Championship and from across the continent.
Lastly, The Athletic journalist states that it is important to remember that the Austrian is still on loan from Bundesliga side Augsburg, so any deal at the ’11th hour’ would involve a lot of moving parts.
Has proven to be a poor signing
In light of Anka’s update, it must be said that Danso has been a poor signing by Southampton.
Initially signed as a late, late arrival on deadline day back in the summer – he was the last Premier League capture, arriving hours after the deadline – the Southampton No.38 has only made three Premier League starts under Ralph Hasenhuttl this season, and six top-flight appearances in total.
Furthermore, the youngster has also only got two FA Cup outings and two Carabao Cup appearances under his belt, seeing him become nothing more than a peripheral figure during his time at St Mary’s.
Danso’s most recent outing – the 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the FA Cup – resulted in him being substituted in the 71st minute with Southampton 1-0 down to the north Londoners, a game which saw him fail to take a rare chance to impress amid injuries to Cedric and Yan Valery.
Someone’s got to own them: Who do these incredibly unwanted PL records belong to?
So, in light of Anka’s update that the Austrian wants more playing time, it does raise question marks as to why he was signed in the first place.
