da blaze casino: Former Arsenal player Paul Merson has not given West Ham United a chance against Liverpool this weekend due to their dismal form.
da betobet: There were high expectations on Slaven Bilic’s shoulders following the club’s move to the London Stadium in the summer, and many would have wanted the team to improve on or at least match last season’s seventh-placed finish in the Premier League.
They look a far cry from doing that as it stands because they hover just one point above the relegation zone following eight defeats, three draws and just three wins so far.
Last weekend added to the misery as the East London outfit were beaten 5-1 by rivals Arsenal in their own back yard, and on Sunday they face the league’s top scorers.
Liverpool lead the way with 35 goals in the division, and Jurgen Klopp’s men have shown that their attacking stars can cause devastating damage to opponents, but they head into this weekend’s match at Anfield with a bit of a point to prove.
In their last outing, they capitulated at the back to relinquish a 3-1 lead and lose 4-3 in the dying moments of their encounter against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Goalkeeper Loris Karius had a torrid afternoon, so the Hammers are likely to target the German’s weakness, but Merson is convinced that Liverpool will get back to winning ways.
The only thing he believes West Ham can do, is try to avoid a mauling. He told Sky Sports:
“The last 20 minutes against Arsenal was just terrible and I fear for West Ham. Another 10 minutes and it could have been eight.
“They are shipping goals left, right and centre and could be in real trouble this weekend if Liverpool get on a roll.
“I can’t see anything other than a comfortable home win, and I’m actually being kind to the Hammers with my prediction. It could be much worse.”
